About Me

I’m Brenda, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW125599). I work with deep feelers, trauma survivors, and anyone who is ready to understand themselves more deeply and feel more grounded, supported, and understood.

My style is warm, honest, and grounded. I move gently but directly, helping you make sense of the emotions, patterns, and histories that shape how you show up in the world. I use psychodynamic therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, systems theory, and EMDR-informed practices to create a supportive, grounded space where insight and healing can happen at your pace.

My priority is to offer a grounding space where you feel supported, understood, and more at home within yourself.

What You Might Be Experiencing

If you often find yourself overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, or reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, this work helps you make sense of what you feel and why you respond the way you do. Together, we identify patterns, put language to your experience, and practice responding in more intentional, grounded ways so you can feel more in control.


If you find yourself stuck in the same patterns in relationships, dealing with conflict at home, or feeling misunderstood, we work on understanding those dynamics and how they developed. Together, we identify patterns, improve communication, and build healthier ways of relating so you can feel more clear, grounded, and respected in your relationships.


If your mind is constantly racing, you feel overwhelmed easily, or have a hard time turning your thoughts off, we work on understanding what’s driving that cycle. Together, we slow things down, identify triggers, and build more grounded ways to respond so you can feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.


Can look like low motivation, feeling numb or disconnected, withdrawing from others, or losing interest in things that used to matter. We work on understanding what’s underneath these experiences, reconnecting with your emotions, and building small, meaningful shifts so you can feel more engaged and like yourself again.


Struggling with self-doubt, negative self-talk, or not fully knowing who you are or where you stand. We work on understanding where these beliefs come from, strengthening your sense of self, and building a more stable, confident way of relating to yourself.


Times of change can feel unsettling, unclear, or overwhelming, especially when you’re stepping into something new or letting go of what’s familiar. We work on processing the transition, making sense of what’s shifting, and helping you move forward with more clarity, stability, and direction.


If you find yourself shutting down, reacting quickly, or struggling to manage your emotions, we work on understanding what’s driving those responses. Together, we build awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and practice more intentional ways of responding so you feel more steady and in control.
